DISASTER RECOVERY PROGRAM
United Way of Skagit County (UWSC) provides Disaster Case Management and Long-Term Recovery services to help individuals and families recover from disasters and move toward stable, sustainable solutions. Disaster Case Managers work directly with impacted households to assess needs, develop individualized recovery plans, identify available resources, and coordinate assistance from insurance, government programs, nonprofit organizations, faith communities, volunteers, and other partners. When needs remain after all other available resources have been explored, UWSC works through the Skagit Long Term Recovery Group (SLTRG) to coordinate additional support for documented unmet needs, including housing, home repair and reconstruction, essential household needs, and other recovery-related expenses. Together, these services provide survivors with a coordinated point of support while ensuring limited recovery resources are used responsibly and effectively.
