Target of Burlington (199 Cascade Mall Drive) joined stores across the country to celebrate the season of giving by donating 2 decorated holiday trees to United Way of Skagit County as part of the Target Share-a-Tree Program. United Way distributed the trees and ornaments—worth an estimated $60 each—to a young mother at Northwest Youth Services; and to Community Action Agency’s Family Development Center.

“Performing even a single act of kindness is an important step toward improving lives, and strengthening and supporting communities. The Target Share-a-Tree program does just this,” said Debra Lancaster, Executive Director of United Way of Skagit County. “United Way is proud to partner with Target to give a lift to this very special program and bring holiday cheer to families in Skagit County.”
“Thank you so much for helping me with the tree! It will be nice to decorate it with my daughter,” said the Northwest Youth Services client who received one of the trees.
“Giving to others, especially those in need, is a part of the holidays at Target,” said Laysha Ward, President, Target Community Relations. “With our partners at United Way, Target is honored to continue our tradition of donating holiday trees to families to enjoy this
holiday season.”
